Scheme DescriptionImplemented by the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Rajasthan, to recognize and support the contributions of senior accredited journalists. Under this scheme, monthly financial assistance is provided to full-time accredited journalists who are 60 years of age or older and have served continuously for at least 20 years in daily, weekly, fortnightly newspapers, independent publications, electronic media, or news agencies (including editors, publishers, and owners).
Eligibility
  1. The applicant must be a full-time accredited journalist.
  2. The applicant must have continuously worked for at least 20 years in daily newspapers, weekly newspapers, fortnightly news publications, independent journalism, electronic media, or news agencies, including roles such as editor, publisher, or owner of such media organizations.
  3. Accredited journalists who have been regularly accredited with the Department of Information and Public Relations, Rajasthan for at least 10 years will be eligible for this scheme.
  4. The journalist should be 60 years of age or older as of the application date.
  5. The applicant should not be receiving any salary, pension, or regular financial assistance from any newspaper, institution, or any other regular assistance from the State Government.
  6. The applicant must declare (via affidavit) that they do not fall under the category of an income tax payee.
  7. The applicant should not have any criminal case registered against them.

Scheme Details
  1. ₹15,000/- per month to the senior accredited journalists.
  2. In case of the journalist's death, 50% of the amount is provided to the widow.

  4. Experience Certificate/Proof of 20 years in journalism
  5. Accreditation Certificate from the Department minimum 10 years
  6. Self-Declaration Affidavit (₹50 Stamp Paper – stating non-income tax status)
  7. No Objection Certificate from any affiliated media house (if required)
  8. Bank Passbook/Cancelled Cheque (for account details)
  9. Proof of No Criminal Record (Self-declaration or Police verification)
  10. No Other Benefit Receive Certificate

Mukhyamantri Vriddhjan Samman Pension Yojana

Scheme DescriptionScheme started by the Labour Department of Rajasthan. It will provide the benefits to old age people. By offering financial assistance, the program not only eases the burden of financial worries but also honours the lifelong contributions of seniors to the state's social fabric. It recognizes their wisdom, experience, and resilience, affirming their rightful place in society and ensuring they can live out their golden years with dignity and respect.
Eligibility
  1. The applicant should be a native of Rajasthan and living in Rajasthan,
  2. The female applicant should be 55 years or older.
  3. The male applicant should be aged 58 years or older
  4. The total annual income of the wife/husband from all sources should be less than ₹48,000/-
  5. People belonging to BPL/ Antyodaya /Aastha Card holding families/ Sahariya / Kathauri, Khairwa castes have been exempted from the income-related condition.

Mukhyamantri Asahaya Punarwas Yojana

Scheme DescriptionScheme launched by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of Rajasthan. The scheme aims to provide financial aid and rehabilitation support to destitute individuals who are completely dependent, orphaned, abandoned by their parents, or have no one to care for them. Under this scheme, men and women are provided one-time financial assistance and support for admission to day-care centres or old-age homes.
Eligibility
  1. The applicant should be a resident of the Rajasthan.
  2. The applicant should belong to one of the following categories:
  3. Destitute individual with no one to care for them.
  4. Individual abandoned by their parents.
  5. Orphaned, destitute or completely dependent individual.
  6. The applicant should not already be receiving benefits under pension schemes (for financial aid support).

Further Information / Process
  1. The applicant may submit application on a plain paper to the district collector of their respective district.
  2. Upon receipt, the application is scrutinized and approved by the Zila Parishad (District Council).
