Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayata Prakalpa- Old and Infirm

Scheme DescriptionLaunched by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura. This scheme aims to provide financial assistance to poor people of Tripura who are old and infirm, such as senior citizens who are 60 years and above in age.
Eligibility
  1. For Old Applicants, the applicant should be a resident of Tripura.
  2. The annual income of the family of the applicant should not exceed ₹1,00,000/-
  3. The age of the applicant should be 60 years or above.
  4. If the family has children in the age group of 6 to 14 years, those children must be enrolled in a school recognized by the Government of Tripura.
  5. The applicant should be a resident of Tripura.
  6. For Infirm Applicants, the applicant should be affected by Cancer/ AIDS/ Leprosy.
  7. The assistance under this scheme will be stopped immediately in case of Death of Beneficiary, fulfilment of any exclusion criteria during the lifetime of a beneficiary, Remarriage of a widow, a member of the family of the beneficiary getting a Government Job, the annual family income of the beneficiary exceeds ₹1,00,000/-.
  8. Income taxpayers are not eligible.
  9. Government employees are not eligible.
  10. Individuals whose family members are already getting benefits under any of the Category/Sub-Category under ‘Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayata Prakalpa' (except infirm & PwDs) are not eligible.
  11. Pensioners who are getting benefits under the “National Social Assistance Program (NSAP)” or the 32 State Social Pension Schemes run by the Social Welfare & Social Education Department, Govt. of Tripura are not eligible.

Scheme DetailsPension amount of ₹2000/- per month will be transferred directly to the bank account of the applicant.

  1. Income Certificate from SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate).
  2. Age Proof Certificate (Birth Certificate/ School Certificate/ Madhyamik Admit).
  3. Aadhaar Card.
  4. Ration Card, issued by the Food & Civil Supplies Department.
  5. Permanent Resident of Tripura Certificate (PRTC), issued by the Sub Divisional Administration.
  6. Non-Government Employee Certificate from Panchayat Secretary/Ward Secretary/Gazetted Officer.

Pension Benefit (TBOCWW)

Scheme DescriptionLaunched by the Tripura Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Labour Department Tripura. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to the registered beneficiary who has retired due to old age attaining 60 years.
Eligibility
  1. The applicant should be registered under the Tripura Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board.
  2. The registered applicant should be working as a building worker for not less than 5 years.
  3. The applicant's age should be 60 years or above.

Scheme DetailsA pension of ₹1,000/- per month is to be paid till the death of the pensioner.

Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayata Prakalpa - Unorganized Workers

Scheme DescriptionPension Scheme launched by the Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura. The objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the Unorganized Workers (home-based workers, self-employed workers or a wage workers) in the unorganized sector.
Eligibility
  1. The applicant should be a resident of Tripura.
  2. The annual income of the family of the applicant should not exceed ₹1,00,000/-
  3. The age of the applicant should be 55 years and above (except for ‘Greha Sahayika’).
  4. In the case of ‘Greha Shahayika’ (Female Domestic Worker), the age of the applicant should be between 23 to 59 years.
  5. If the family has children in the age group of 6 to 14 years, those children must be enrolled in a school recognized by the Government of Tripura.
  6. The assistance under this scheme will be stopped immediately in case of Death of Beneficiary, fulfilment of any exclusion criteria during the lifetime of a beneficiary, remarriage of a widow, a member of the family of the beneficiary getting a Government Job, the annual family income of the beneficiary exceeds ₹1,00,000/-.

Scheme DescriptionLaunched by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs, Government of Tripura. The objective is to provide financial assistance in the form of a Pension to accredited Journalists/ Photojournalists aged 60 years and above.
Eligibility
  1. The applicant should be 18 years or older.
  2. The applicant retired from the job as an accredited journalist/photojournalist in Tripura.
  3. The applicant should have done 10 years of service in Tripura.
  4. The applicant should not have received a pension from other sources, except under the Employees Provident Fund (EPF).
  5. The beneficiary should be 60 years or older to receive the pension.
