Uttar Pradesh Old Age Pension Scheme

Scheme DescriptionState Level Scheme, Social Welfare Department to support Senior Citizens who need financial support and are from the BPL category.
Eligibility
  1. Age should be 60 years.
  2. Applicant should be below poverty line, or his/her annual income should be upto for Rural Areas Rs. 46,080/- and Urban Areas Rs. 56,460/-.
  3. Not eligible if the applicant is benefited from other pension schemes.

Scheme Details
  1. Monthly pension Rs. 500/-.
  2. The government will allow only the senior citizens from the economically weaker sections to avail the benefits under this scheme.
  3. Under this Uttar Pradesh old age pension scheme, the Government will transfer the pension amount to the beneficiaries through their bank account.

  1. For Disability Pension: a) Passport size photo of the applicant b) Disability certificate of the applicant c) Income certificate of the applicant d) Gram Sabha resolution in case of rural area and photocopy of bank passbook in case of urban area
  2. For Leprosy Pension a) Passport size photo of the applicant b) Leprosy certificate of the applicant c) Income certificate of the applicant d) Gram Sabha resolution in case of rural area and photocopy of bank passbook in case of urban area
